> SSSLLLOOOWWWWW Upload (1 week for 12gb)

I have a slightly different perspective: 1) How long did it take you to accumulate the 12 gb of precious data? 2) Why do you care? Were you, like, waiting around for it to finish, or something? This shouldn't be compared to uploading files, where you do, in fact, worry about the speed. One reason they go slow is to avoid stealing all your bandwidth for that much data.

> How secure is my personal data once I send it out into the ether?

At least as secure, I would suggest, as sitting on a hard disk in your house. The whole idea of offsite storage is security. If Mozy slips, they won't be in business long, and I know they just got a very large contract.
