I am using the reader in Apple Mail since the Leopard update. I find it useful to have all my mail (my Gmail accounts are in my mail via IMAP) and my RSS feeds in one interface.

I second your post, too. I used Opera's integrated feed reader until a few weeks ago and then switched - mainly because I wanted to access my feeds from anywhere and liked the nice extra features (such as sharing).

I'm with you on Google Reader -- though some of the RSS applications are slick and have a nice UI, Google does the trick for me. I can access my feeds from anywhere (including my iPhone with a nice interface).

And I like the new Sharing feature where you can share and see shared items from folks in your address book.

I am completely beholden to Google Reader. I use the Camino browser instead of Safari because of the way Google Reader functions in Camino (faster, can zoom in on pages, and always opens in new tabs, and some others).
