You know you can use your tablet within Notebook 3.0 now right? It works with Leopard's handwriting recognition to recognize handwriting and also allows you do draw directly onto the page. Customize your toolbar and add the pen tool, then have fun!

Are you willing to pay for the shipping from Sedalia, Missouri? Which back and board do you want? Mac Plus or 512k? MacWrite or Word 3.01? Want an ImageWriter or NEC 8800 to go with it?

"* Am I the only person that wishes I could say the word “aluminum” with a British accent? Maybe Don McAllister should screencast THAT."

Well it may help if you spell it correctly "aluminIum" ;-) If Don were to do it you'd all be learning to say it with a Liverpool accent!

It is so strange that you say that, every time I write aluminum I think of it in a British accent.

Marina,

I only run OmniGraffle on one machine but was able to confirm your problem over the weekend. The trouble is SugarSync does not handle packages well. It does the same thing with my Secure Sparse Images. I actually also keep a free DropBox account for this purpose. You get 2 gigs free from them and that is plenty for the few items that require it. DropBox really is superior to SugarSync in several ways but I still prefer SugarSync because of its granularity and ability to sync files wherever they reside on their drive.

Dave -
you mentioned you are a SugarSync user. In my experiments with SugarSync, it seems to have trouble "understanding" .graffle files which have separate image files embedded in them. In particular, the SugarSync file manager sees those graffle files as folders, with a number or other files and folders embedded in them. When these graffles are edited, the synchronization seems to get tripped up, creating multiple versions of sub-folder contests, etc. Any experience?

"OS irrelevance with cloud based computing?" I'm definitely not a fan of that.

Instead, I'm hoping that the upcoming announcements give me the laptop of my dreams. It won't be a back-to-school thing, alas, but a case of an old geezer whose first Mac was a Mac128 in 1984 getting a chance at an exciting new MacBook (Pro or not). Things are looking up, and about time!

Best to you, may your Macs multiply.
