Go Deeper Than the Podcast
You already read the blog and listen to the shows. The Labs is the next step. Extra videos and posts every week, the Lab Report, live meetups with David, and a room full of people who are just as into this as you are.

The free stuff only goes so far
The MacSparky blog and the podcasts are good. They are also, by design, the surface. A blog post can tell you a feature exists. It can’t sit next to you while you actually build the workflow.
The Labs is where that happens. It’s the room behind the curtain. Every week David shares the experiments, the tutorials, and the workflows he’s actually running, in enough detail to copy.
And you get to ask. When something doesn’t click, you bring it to a meetup or the community and get a real answer instead of a guess. You also get to do it alongside people who find this stuff as fun as you do.
Four parts, one membership
A Labs membership is a content library, a standing line to David, a place to learn together, and a community of fellow productivity nerds. Here’s how each one works.
An Exclusive Content Library
Extra videos and posts every week, the kind that don’t run on the free blog. The moment you join, everything from before you joined is yours too.
- Weekly tutorial videos and behind-the-scenes posts
- The Lab Report, a weekly Apple news podcast
- The full back catalog at your tier
Direct Access to David
Stop wondering what David would do and ask him. The Labs puts you in the same room, on a regular schedule.
- Monthly meetups on Zoom, with your questions answered live
- Monthly Deep Dives into advanced workflows
- Quarterly planning sessions to map out your next 90 days
Learn Together
The best parts of the Labs are the live ones. You show up, you work, and you come away with something you didn’t have an hour ago.
- The Labs Book Club, a six-week community read with Zoom discussions
- Jam Sessions, where the group digs into one tool together
- The Momentum Club, co-working sessions for getting real work done
Find Your Tribe
A smaller community of people who get excited about the same things you do. Ask a question here and a real person answers, often the same day.
- A private Circle community for Labs members
- Live gatherings during Apple events, reactions and all
- Ongoing conversations with people who share the obsession
Start with the Lab Report
Every week David records the Lab Report, a ten-minute podcast that rounds up the Apple news worth knowing, with his candid take on it.
Members listen in whatever podcast app they already use. It’s the easiest habit in the Labs, and the one members bring up most. Several have told David they dropped their other Apple news feeds once the Lab Report had them covered.
Something is always happening
The Labs runs on a steady beat. Something new lands every week, so the membership keeps earning its place.

Where the productivity nerds hang out
Plenty of online communities are loud. The Labs is small on purpose. When you post something, real people read it. When you ask a question in a meetup, you get a real answer.
The live sessions are where it clicks. The monthly meetup turns into a working room. The book club ends with a list of ideas you want to try. The Jam Sessions and the Momentum Club put a group of people doing the thing together instead of just talking about it.
The membership runs a wide range. The common thread is curiosity about getting more out of the tools you already use.
You don’t have to be loud to fit in. Some members never post and still get plenty out of it. Show up to a meetup once and you’ll see what I mean.
It all lives in a private Circle space, with the meetup recordings, the Book Club, the Jam Sessions, and the day-to-day conversation in one room.

David Sparks
David Sparks has been on a never-ending quest to be more productive with technology since programming his first computer in 1980. He started MacSparky in 2007 and has been at it ever since, publishing the blog, co-hosting the Mac Power Users and Focused podcasts, and making the MacSparky Field Guides.
The Labs is where he goes deeper. It’s the place he shares the workflows still in progress, the tools he’s testing, and the productivity ideas worth talking through with other people. No hype, no jargon. Just a working approach to technology, week after week, with a community along for the ride.
