Brett Terpstra recently shipped TerminalWidget, a useful, nerdy little utility right in line with that we’ve all come to love from Brett.
TerminalWidget takes the output from a shell script, a Shortcut, an AppleScript, or a plain URL, and turns it into a widget sitting on your Desktop or Home Screen. Sales numbers, backup status, network speed, a GitHub contribution graph. Whatever you can script, you can now glance at without opening a terminal window or a browser tab. It’s a universal purchase for $19.99, covering Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, and it’s available now on the App Store.
I’m looking forward to digging in on it.
I write about getting more from your Apple gear. If this was useful, go deeper in the Labs or grab the weekly newsletter.
