Don’t you use Path Finder like Tim Verpoorten. I really like it. It’s had tabs for a long time.

My acid test for a software tool is to see if I can live w/o it after the trial runs out. I used Path Finder exclusively for two full trial versions, then tried Total Finder. As cool as Path Finder is, the only thing that I absolutely can’t live without isTabs.

Total Finder is all I need. The quick double click on a tab for Dual Mode is perfect when you need a quick visual comparison. Sorting with folders first is huge for Windows switchers.
