I’ve heard from readers looking for a way to track health without wearing an Apple Watch. Since Apple doesn’t make its own fitness ring or band, you are going to have to look at the third-party options. Google’s Fitbit Air is actually a pretty good one.
The problem was it didn’t share data over to the Apple Health app, at least until recently.
Now it does, so you can get pretty accurate fitness tracking with the Fitbit Air and get that data into Apple Health. An advantage of the Fitbit Air is that you can buy it once for $100 and get this benefit without any ongoing subscription. The downside is that you’re also sending all your tracking data to Google.
I write about getting more from your Apple gear. If this was useful, go deeper in the Labs or grab the weekly newsletter.
