The MacSparky Field Guides have moved. They used to live on Teachable, and now they live inside the MacSparky community on Circle.

First, why I did it.

For years the Field Guides sat on Teachable, off on their own little island. They worked fine, but they were cut off from everything else I do at MacSparky. Your course was a course, and that was where it ended. Circle changes that.

Now your guides sit right next to the discussion, the updates, and the rest of the community. The video playback is better. There’s a real mobile app, so you can watch a lesson on your iPhone or iPad without wrestling a web page. Everything lives behind one login instead of scattered across platforms. When I update a guide, you’re already there to catch it.

The part I’m most excited about is the people. A Field Guide used to be a one-way street. I taught, you watched, and that was the whole transaction. Now there’s a room full of folks working through the same material, asking questions, and helping each other out. Sometimes that includes me.

Two things, depending on where you stand.

If you own a Field Guide and you can already get into Circle, log in and your guides are waiting. Pick up right where you left off.

If you own a Field Guide and you haven’t heard a word from me about any of this, let me know. Some of my migration emails didn’t land, and I don’t want anyone stuck on the old platform wondering where their guide went. So I built a page that sorts it out: Your Field Guides Have Moved. Tell me whether you’re already in Circle or not, and I’ll get you access.

And if you bought a guide a while back and forgot all about it, consider this your nudge. The content is all there, it’s better than it was on Teachable, and now there are people to learn it with.

I first started teaching about Apple gear and Productivity in 2007 (19 years!), and the Field Guides have always been the heart of it. Moving them to Circle clears the way for what’s next. I’ve got new guides in the works, updates coming to older ones, and a few community ideas the old setup could never have handled.
