Daylite Is Getting a Local MCP Server

Daylite is wiring the app up to Claude through a local MCP server. Daylite has always been about connecting data and this feels like one more evolution for them. It’s currently a private preview but you can sign up at this link.

I’m already watching listeners and Labs members build their own little apps because the tools they pay for won’t meet them where they are. For some people it’s transformational, but as users we really don’t want to be developing apps. We want to get the work done.

I think this represents a real opportunity for productivity app developers to get on board and give users the tools they need to use professionally designed software, along with the power of an artificial intelligence.

Omni is heading there. DEVONthink is already there. Now Daylite.
