My friend Jim Eagar wrote up how he uses Claude Cowork for his quarterly review, and it’s a great read. Jim’s been doing serious work on the intersection of reviews and AI, and he’s making real progress.

The part I want to underline is his takeaway. Cowork does the digging. It reads ninety days of journal entries, daily notes, calendar events, and past reviews, then hands him the right information at the right moment. But it doesn’t do his thinking. It gives him reflective questions and lets him keep the judgment, the self-assessment, and the decisions about what to change. That’s the whole game with this stuff. The assistant gathers the record, and you still do the reflecting.
